Evidence of Learning

STARS was an interesting tool and actually had so much more to it than I had expected. It was honestly interesting to see the information slowly get filled in and the OP get completed. It was a very easy tool to use and allowed us to put the information in that we needed without any problems. We got all sorts of information about the school that I never thought was heavily thought about. For example, we learned about the number of different types of vehicles in the schools fleet, how many students and staff are on campus, how many different types of parking spots there are, and many more. We were really able to dig deep into the transportation aspect of the school when we began using this tool. It got us to reach out to people I honestly didn’t even know worked at UNE and in a sense it gave us better communication skills with important faculty members. We learned a lot through this and because of this tool we were able to create what we thing is a proposal that could help the school make their transportation more sustainable. The points system on STARS was very interesting and all the number crunching we had to do made it seem more official. The three OP’s we completed were easy to navigate and for the most part easy to fill in. We had no problems with STARS and I think it is an awesome tool to report on a colleges sustainable aspects.
